Colour postcard: Front view of Budworth Hall in Ongar. 1906 : Length 8.7 cms : Width 13.8 cms Front - Colour photograph. Across a road stands some boys outside the front of a building. It is two stories in height under a tiled roof. The upper floor has a single bay window, whilst the lower has a large and two small windows. There is a door with a tiled canopy above. Adjoining on to this building is a clock tower with a pitched tile roof and again an entrance with a canopy above. The clock reads 12.20. At the back of these two structures can be seen a large roof suggesting a larger building lies behind. To the left of these is a shop with a sign reading ' Dowsetts' above the window. To the right of the clock tower a fence runs along, the boundary of a large ivy covered house. Beyond more buildings can be seen. Printed on the bottom edge is 'Budworth Hall, Ongar'. Back - Printed text for a postcard and 'A. Mott,, Ongar'. In the top right hand corner is a green halfpenny stamp with the postmark 'Ongar, 2.30 PM. Au29, 06'.
