Paperback photograph album; 15 pages; photographs showing damage caused by the V2 Rocket that hit Highbridge Street on 7th March 1945, taken by Waltham Abbey's Air Raid Precaution Chief Warden Edward J. Carter.
Waltham Abbey, Highbridge Street 7.3.45 after a five and a half years of war, having survived the bombing of the winter 1940-1 the ' little blitz' of 1944 and the flying bombs of 1944 summer, a long range rocket arrived at about 17.00 hrs on Wednesday March 1945 and caused the incident we had long dreaded.
