A Royal Corps of Signals coloured field service cap. Coloured Service caps became popular in the pre-war period, as well as during World War 2 and were worn with Service Dress, Battledress and Blues. They were purchase privately and could be worn when ‘walking out’, adding colour to the wearers uniform.
