Brief description
Black and white reprint of photograph taken across Market Square, looking towards the Welsh Harp, and Lych Gate House with the Abbey Church Tower visible behind. Left hand side has a terrace of three buildings with the Green Dragon in the middle. Right hand side has horse and 2 wheeled cart with man and boy, to their right are 2 girls with pinafores and boaters with a group of school boys to the rear. To the left of the horse and cart there are 3 figures in front of a shop with an awning and goods including a barrel. To the bottom left is a blurred image of a cart. Welsh Harp has a board with Watney, Combe, Reid & Co. London Stout. White border around photograph. Reverse has handwritten in blue ink J. Foster Heritage week 0992 714600; 7/H Brom v A x 22cms and a red stamp 16 Sep 1984.
