Manilla folder with on front, handwritten in capitals 'Trench fall in High Road, Loughton. Thursday. February 3rd. 1966. Photographs taken at approx. 1.00 pm. Immediately after the removal of the corpse' Bottom right has monogram and 8.2.66. P 1 has 6 black and white photographs with white border stuck to the card. Top right, shows edge of trench rubble and wooden shoring; top right shows men looking into trench and the shoring with ALFRED NUTTALL shop front visible behind; centre left shows back of a crowd of men with pile of rubble in left bottom corner and buildings to either side; centre right shows caterpillar tracked machine in front of house, with 2 people left corner; bottom left, female standing in left foreground with building to right and vehicle in centre; bottom right has sign DANGER ROAD WORKS AHEAD bottom left and street scene to rear. P2 has 6 further black and white images, all close up views of the trench, under the top left image is handwritten 'THE INDICATED FATAL PLACE'. Centre left image has NW written to the left centre and bottom left image has NW written above the image. p3 is blank. P4 has 4 black and white images, the top 2 have NW handwritten to the right hand side and show the trench; Timber Store, Brook Path written below the lower left image which depicts a shed in front of a black and white building; bottom right image is of a brick built rectangular object in and excavated hole with a wooden fence running behind.
