There are buildings visible in the background and a row of buildings behind vegetation on the right. Right hand side is a sign 'Private Road, no Through Road'. There is an A handwritten in green ink top right corner. Reverse, handwritten in blue ink 'View up Steeds Way from York Hill. Alma Cottage (Mrs Sanders) on left. Note slope up, irregular kerb, loose stones, rough carriageway, negligible footway, rain has washed loose stones at junction down York Hill. July 1962.' Ink stamp of Paul J Parry with handwritten 2247 /C.
