Brief description
Black and white photograph of a terrace of houses. The houses are brick built and have bay windows on the ground floor, there are front doors arranged in pairs. There are steps leading to the front doors, indicating that there is a basement floor. There are 2 further floors above, There is a pushchair in the stepped area of the right end house and a pram towards the far end. There appears to be wooden bracing against the bay window of the second house from the left. On the reverse there is typed in black ink 'Chigwell Urban District Council St. John's Terrace, Buckhurst Hill. Tooley and Foster, Chartered Architects, Buckhurst Hill. April, 1959. Top left corner, in pencil E & S and an encircled 12 and a red 3.
