Brief description
Black and white photograph of the back of a row of four storeyed terraced houses, Central pair have steps leading to a porch covered doorway, either side entrance doors are on the ground floor. There is washing blowing on washing lines. In the foreground there is a pile of earth. Typed in black ink on the reverse is 'Chigwell Urban District Council St. John's Terrace, Buckhurst Hill. Tooley and Foster, Chartered Architects, Buckhurst Hill. April, 1959. Top left corner in pencil, underlined E & S and an encircled 13 and in red ink 4.
