Brief description
Black and white photograph, with border of the left hand end of four storeyed brick built terraced houses. The left hand house has an extension to the left reaching to the third floor. There are children in front of the right end house with washing on a line above. The central buildings have porch covered steps leading to the second floor. There are posts in the foreground and piles of earth, Typed on the reverse in black ink is 'Chigwell Urban District Council, St. John's Terrace, Buckhurst Hill. Tooley and Foster, Chartered Architects, Buckhurst Hill. April 1959. In the top left corner in pencil is E & S underlined.
