There are 3 people sitting behind a table (1 female) in front there is a row of 6 people writing at tables or desks, there are 5 further people sitting against the window wall and 10 visible people on chairs facing the window wall. Reverse handwritten in blue ink 'Retirement of Mrs G. V. Cross, Councillor, Chigwell U D C Postwar 1956. Oval ink stamp of West Essex Gazette.
