Brief description
Black and white photograph, with white border, looking along High Road Loughton from The Crown Hotel Site. Right side of image foreground has a fence with concrete posts and chains and a sign for The Crown, beyond is a Shell sign and buildings. To the left hand side of the image a bus stop is visible, beyond which is a side road, High Beech Road and the Standard is visible behind the trees. A black arrow has been drawn on the image, pointing towards thee top of a building. Reverse has handwritten in blue ink, an encircled 1, viewpoint from High Road Loughton, adjacent to the Crown Hotel. Note new office block May 1964. Bottom left corner is a black rectangular stamp RW, Edwards A.M.I C.E. Engineer and Surveyor Council Offices Old Station Road, Loughton Essex, Date (handwritten) 28th May '64.
