Brief description
Brown cardboard folder, with handwritten in black ink on the cover 'Queens Road Buckhurst Hill, Civic Trust Scheme 1966 - 67.' Adhered to the inside front cover is a press cutting, photograph and text, concerning the Queens Road Traders signing a board asking Chigwell UDC to approve a facelift scheme to improve the shopping centre. An additional cutting, about the receipt of the petition is below, with a handwritten comments in blue ink, on the cuttings, 'Express and Independant 26 Aug 1966. The next page has an inset photographic print of the press photograph. Stuck to the back of this is a typed list of names. There is a pale blue ribbon, passed through small punched holes, tying the final pages together.
