British Army Lane Corporal chevron (or stripe) to be worn on arm of uniform. Unknown as to whether this is WW1 or WW2. Could be related to donor's father law Albert Clare (see photo 2024.21.5) or William Killick. See also EPPMS.2024.21.3 which is exactly the same.
