Mounted sepia photograph of Upton’s Boot Makers, 1 Church Street, Waltham Abbey, 1920 - 1925. Mrs Upton can be seen standing in the doorway. Before it closed, Upton’s was the oldest business in Essex, having been established in 1777. The building is now the White Which (2024).
Donor's neighbour's husband lived in Waltham Abbey.
