Brief description
Handmade plush mouse toy: Mrs Apple. Part of a set of 6 Brambly Hedge plush toys made by the donor's mother, Alice Williamson when she was aged 80 in 1984, using The Brambly Hedge Pattern Book (EPPMS.2024.8.7), page 29 - 40.
Mouse head consists of simple plain black plastic beads for eyes and nose, and brown felt ears. She is wearing a cloth hat which has a white ribbon at the back and white and pink fabric flowers at the front. She is wearing a blue and white gingham dress with a white apron over. The white apron is edged with guipure lace and there are two pockets at the front. There is a white bow at the back. Underneath this are plain white cotton pantaloons with her brown felt feet poking out at the end. She is holding a buff coloured crochet basket containing fabric flowers.
